Our Review

The hotel is situated in the heart of the Temple Bar, the cultural centre of the city. The hotel should be avoided by those who prefer a quiet location. Bedrooms are in general basic, but clean & practical. Blooms offers simple accommodation with a prime lively location.

The hotel is quite a large property, housing 86 medium sized guestrooms. Of those 86 rooms, only 5 are triples. In general the decoration of the rooms is basic, but they are clean and comfortable. The bedrooms feature light blue walls, complemented by blue carpeted floors. The furniture is simple but in good condition. The hotel has plans to commence renovation of the rooms in January 2007. The en suite bathrooms are tiled and quite spacious, featuring bathtub and shower. The single rooms have showers only. Smoking and non -smoking rooms are subject to availability.

     no heating in room, radiater did not work...             very clean and the room was very nice...             Lack of smoke alarms in rooms...             Rooms are very basic but clean...             our room was very dated...             very small rooms and not to clean...             thought the rooms and breakfast was very good. ...             The rooms were small and simple things like the shampoo in the ensuite were so old fashioned and cheap....             the amount of noise was incredible...             The room was unbearably hot as there didn't seem to be air con or a working thermostat ...             can be a bit noisy up to 4am...             rooms could do with a general overhaul, ...             The bedroom's leave a lot to be desired and would be much improved with new double glazing and new bed's. ...             not if you want relaxation and quiet!...             other travellers mentioned the noise,we did not have a problem or feel that there was too much noise...             there was no pressure in the shower...
