The hotel is located right in the city centre, on O’Connell Street, which is probably Dublin's most famous street. The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes’ walk to Temple Bar and also within easy walking distance of all the major city attractions.

The Royal Hotel is a modern property, which belongs to the Fitzwilliam Hotel Group. The lobby is very spacious and bright with a red and beige tiled floor and a sitting area. The reception desk is on the right and straight ahead lies the entrance to the Raffles Bar, its doors flanked by two huge Asian-style coloured vases.
