The North Star hotel has a central location though there has been feedback that the surrounding area is not the most attractive. Rooms are basic with standard facilities. This hotel would be suited for budget travellers seeking simple accommodation.

The hotel is located in Dublin city centre, opposite the Irish Financial Services Centre and about 15 minutes’ walk from Temple Bar and Dublin Galleries and Museums. It is also within easy walking distance of O'Connell Street, Trinity College and the main shopping areas. The central bus station is just around the corner and Connolly train station is next door.
For concert-goers and fans of rugby and GAA sports, the North Star Hotel is 10 minutes' walk from Croke Park Stadium and the 02 Concert Venue.

     hotel is an ideal location for matches or concerts in croke park and also concerts in the 02....             The hotel is ideally situated especially for visitors attending concerts in Croke Park...             I think people should be warned that this is a very rough area in Dublin...             not far from o connell street...             but a distance from the shopping street of grafton street and the bar areas of temple bars...             it is about 20 mins from temple bar ...             the walk enables you to take in the sights. ...             convenient for the tram which was just over the road...             everything is very close to the hotel...             North Star is ideal for travellers, very near the station...              Hotl is situated very near the centre o town with all shops and amenities close by....             in the details it dosn't tell you quite how far this is....             You are a good twenty minutes walk from the main town and amenities...             The taxi drivers don't even like dropping off there...             in quite a merky and dirty district...
