The George Frederick Handel Hotel is an independent property, which owes its name to the fact that it occupies part of Neale’s Music Hall where the famous composer performed his Messiah for the first time in 1742. This is a standard budget hotel ideal, for people who want to stay in the Temple Bar area and be close to Dublin’s nightlife and restaurants. The hotel does not have its own car parking but guests arriving by car can find a parking space on Fishamble Street and surrounding streets or in Christchurch Car Parking. Check-in time is 2.30 p.m. and check-out is 12.00noon. The hotel contains a total of 40 guestrooms spread over four floors. These include doubles, twins and triples (3 separate beds) and 2 fully disabled rooms. There are no quad rooms or inter-connecting rooms. Functional and medium sized, the rooms are equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, telephone, television and hairdryer. The hotel has its own restaurant and also a bar/night-club open until 11.30 pm on weekdays and until 3.00am on Friday and Saturday. The hotel lounge “Karma” is a Café/Pub and Club with Asian-style décor. It is quiet during the day and lively at night. It features traditional Irish and contemporary live music until late. The George Frederick Handel restaurant is appointed in a contemporary and Oriental style. Breakfast is served there from 7.30am to 10.30am on weekdays and from 8.30am to 11.00am on weekends. A Full Irish breakfast is available. This is a basic budget hotel in a central location.
